Atlanta Nuernberg Committee (ANKO)

The City of Nuremberg in December 1998 signed a partnership agreement with Atlanta, Georgia. The Atlanta-Nuremberg Committee was founded in 1999 as a not-for-profit association to support the objectives of the city partnership as much as is possible with special emphasis on developing the business and commercial relations.

Franconian International School

Since its beginning the America House has actively supported the Franconian International School (FIS) in Herzogenaurach which was founded in 1998.
The FIS consists of a Kindergarten, Elementary School, Middle School and High School. Within 10 years it has grown from 25 students to over 400 representing over 30 different nationalities. In addition to school lessons there is an extra curricular program offered afterwards, which enables students to engage in a variety of activities ranging from sports to the arts.

Nuremberg International Children's English group (NICE)

NICE is a private, non-profit group of English-speaking families in the Greater Nuremberg area with children ages 2-12. In our group native English-speaking parents of all nationalities can help their children make friends, learn to read and to write and have fun in English. The younger children sing, play, make simple crafts and listen to stories together. For our older children we provide native speaking teachers. We are looking for parents who share our commitment to become actively involved.
