Germany and the USA, so different but so alike somehow! You only have to open your eyes to see how much “America” is hidden in the streets and alleys of Nürnberg. Young people who are interested in photography are invited to shoot striking photos, which show the ties between Nürnberg and America and offer a startling perspective of Nürnberg. The Deutsch Amerikanisches Institut offers a platform to display these photos. The event takes place annually.

Even the best author has to start small!
“My Own Short Story” is the creative writing competition of the DAI. Given a short text as a lead, students must compose a two- to three-page interesting story in English.
