In January, the DAI will begin hosting a children’s reading corner twice a month. A native English speaker will read aloud from classic children’s books and there will be activities to go along with that day’s story. This is a great opportunity for children of all ages to listen to a native speaker, interact with other children, and discover some great books from our library. We offer one morning a month for younger children and one afternoon a month for school children.

Horror Movie: The Bride of Frankenstein, 1935, D: James Whale

The 1930s and `40s are considered the high point of the Hollywood Studio System. Looking at clips from classic movies in different genres can give us an insight into the workings of the system and the films it produced. Watching the films beforehand is recommended but not essential.
