Reading Corner for Children
19.06.2012
In January, the DAI will begin hosting a children’s reading corner twice a month. A native English speaker will read aloud from classic children’s books and there will be activities to go along with that day’s story. This is a great opportunity for children of all ages to listen to a native speaker, interact with other children, and discover some great books from our library. We offer one morning a month for younger children and one afternoon a month for school children.
Age 0-6: 10.30-11.15am
Age 6-12: 3-4 pm
Wednesdays: 23.1./ 20.2./ 20.3./ 17.4./ 15.5./ 19.6./ 17.7.2013

Elections 2012: Lecture What does Economics Say?
19.06.2012
Prof. Philip Martin, University of California, Davis
It is often said that, despite sharp contrasts between candidates on social issues, American votes are strongly influenced by the answer to a simple question: are you better off today than you were four years ago? Philip Martin will review how the US economy changed between 2008 and 2012, and how economic developments are likely to affect the 2012 elections?
