In the early 1980s, Charlie Wilson, a womanizing US congressional representative from Texas, learns about the plight of the people suffering under Soviet occupation in Afghanistan. Henceforth, Wilson dedicates his canny political efforts to supply the Afghan Mujahideen with weapons. The three of them travel the world to form unlikely alliances among the Pakistanis, Israelis, Egyptians, arms dealers, law
makers, and a belly dancer to support the defeat of the Soviet Union. Little does Wilson know about the
