DAI Goes Re-education
Filmscreening of Original Footage!
Watch out for Friday June 18th. This is the historic date when the first re-education movies were shown in Erlangen in 1945! Heiner Roß, author of Lernen Sie diskutieren will give an introduction to the short film program to be screened at Lamm Lichtspiele, Erlangen. The short films are among those originally shown to the German public in 1945 and on this rare occasion are open to the wider public.
New perspectives on the post-war period are the focus of the two-day conference: Cultural Encounters between Germans and Americans after World War II: New Perspectives on "Reeducation, Reorientation, Americanization" (1945-1965).
