Thanks to the "hippie movement", the 1960s and 70s was a time of love, peace and freedom, despite the raging war in Vietnam. Claude Bukowski (John Savage) is introduced to the hippie ideals after moving to New York City to join the Army. He befriends a group of hippies in Central Park follow him when he is sent to military training in Nevada. What starts out as an adventure in love and friedship, soon culminates in a fatal mix-up.
