Observing the Moon with Douglas Draa
11.07.2009 (20:30)
Veranstaltungsreihe: Back to the Moon- 40 years later
Sternwarte Nürnberg welcomes you to a moon lecture which will cover the history and the basic celestial mechanics. Why does the moon behave as it does (tides, phases, eclipses)? Why do we only see one side? Afterwards, if the weather plays along, you’ll be invited to an observing session. The fairly new moon, Jupiter at its brightest as well as the Ring Nebula and the Globular Cluster in Hercules will be observed.
