Get Active! Get Sporty! America House Gets in the Game

Have you ever wanted to learn how to play American style sports? Well, now is your chance! The German-American Institute will offer three sessions, featuring three different American sports, in which you will learn about the games (the history, the rules, etc) and play them!
The sports will be:
May 8th - Baseball: „America's national pastime." This game is played with bat and ball. The ball is thrown to the „batter," who attempts to hit it. Points are scored by „running the bases".
May 15th - Football:
That's American Football, not Fußball. One team defends while the other team attempts to score a „touchdown". This is done by running or throwing the football into the „end zone" at either side of the ?eld.
May 22nd - Ultimate Frisbee:
The goal of this game is to score points by entering the end zone with a Frisbee. However, unlike American Football, whoever is holding the Frisbee cannot move; you must stay in place when throwing the Frisbee.
The sessions will be led by real Americans, so you can be sure to get the insider expertise. This will be a fun way to learn about American lifestyle and culture while practicing your oral English skills. We will start with an introductory session at the America House and then go outside and play.
Please wear appropriate clothing!
